Gwoonwardu Mia
For those wishing to mix culture with taste sensations try some local bush tucker and kangaroo tail for lunch at ‘Gwoonwardu Mia’ and peruse through their art gallery of local indigenous works. Situated on Robinson Street, the big orange ammonite just off the airport turnoff, Gwoonwardu Mia is open from 10 to 3pm.

Self caterers
There are two major supermarkets in Carnarvon. Woolworths is situated in the centre of town, approximately 5 kilometres from the Wintersun, and IGA is approximately 2 kilometres from the Wintersun. Both supermarkets cater to all tastes and carry Asian and Italian essentials as well as fresh produce.
Aquatic centre
The Carnarvon Aquatic Centre is open between October and April, Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am to 5pm. It includes: a 50m pool, fully shaded toddler's pool/baby pool, basketball hoops and balls, grassed shady park, BBQ area, beach volleyball court and kiosk.
Cinema
