Things to do

Carnarvon is surrounded by the Ningaloo Reef Marine Park and Shark Bay World Heritage Area however we also have some beautiful beaches of our own.  Pelican Point is a great spot to stop for a swim and a picnic lunch as well as the town beach at the Fascine.  Kite surfers can be seen out and about around Pelican point when the wind is right and lessons are available from KiteMix on 0400 648 706.

We also have our very own Blowholes along the Quobba coastline, 70 kilometres north of Carnarvon which shoot awe inspiring jets of water into the air.  1km south of the Blowholes is a white sandy beach and colourful coral filled lagoon. Pack a picnic and snorkel!

Rocky Pool This beautiful, deep, fresh water pool is situated 45km east of Wintersun Caravan Park on the Gascoyne Junction Road. It is a tranquil place to have a BBQ picnic and admire wildflowers and birdlife.
