  1. How far are you from town?
    • Wintersun Caravan and Tourist Park is quietly located 4.5km from the town centre. There is a 24hr Caltex Starmart and Morel's fruit and vegetable plantation less than a 5 minute stroll away and an IGA supermarket just over one kilometre away. The park is nestled amongst fruit and vegetable plantations.

  2. Are you set back from the road?
    • The entrance to the Wintersun Caravan and Tourist Park is well set back from the road. The park is narrow at the front but stretches back 400m making all of the lovely sites and accommodation well back from the road.

  3. Do you have a swimming pool?
    • Yes. We have a sparkling swimming pool located alongside our Camp Kitchen and Recreation room.

  4. Do you have grassy/shady sites?
    • We have an abundance of lovely grass and shady trees at Wintersun Caravan and Tourist Park. From October to early May you can take a look around our park and select your own shady and grassy site. We also have sites with cement annexe pads.

  5. Do you have good drinking water?
    • All caravan/camping sites and chalets have excellent drinking water.

  6. What is there to see and do around Carnarvon?
    • Please click on the "Things to see and do" tab for information about the sites, attractions and activities on offer in the beautiful Gascoyne Region.

  7. Do you have parking for large rigs/vans?
    • Yes. We can accommodate large rigs, buses and 5th wheelers. Please ring ahead to ensure that you have been allocated an appropriate site for your sized rig.

  8. Do you have drive thru sites?
    • No, however we have friendly staff on hand to back-in your van or to guide you on site. We have large sites that are easy to back into as well as long sites for you to remain hitched up if you wish. These sites are subject to availability and seasonal variation.

  9. Do you have parking space at the chalet for Boats, campertrailers etc?
    • Yes, all of our chalets have adjacent parking spaces however they do vary in size. If you are towing a very large boat please phone our friendly staff to request a chalet with a large parking space (subject to availability).

  10. Is it safe to leave valuables in the boat?
    • We recommend that you secure any valuable items inside your accommodation just as you would if you were in a large city.

  11. Do you allow pets?
    •  Pets are permitted from September to June for site and accommodation bookings. They not permitted inside accommodation or other communal areas (such as amenities blocks, swimming pool and camp kitchen). For accommodation bookings, pets must remain outside on the verandah. Application forms are available from reception.

  12. Who can use the Bowling Green?
    • All guests staying at Wintersun are welcome to use our grassed, international sized bowling green during office hours. Green fees apply. Please enquire at reception.

  13. What activities are there for children?
    • Playground, swimming pool, bowling green (under supervision), table tennis and darts in recreation room (open on request), plantation tours.

  14. What facilities do you have for people with disabilities?
    • We have a large two bedroom chalet with wheelchair access as well as a newly refurbished bathroom for people with disabilities on caravan/camping sites

  15. What time is your office open and what happens if I am arriving late?
    • Office hours are from 8.30am - 6.00pm 7 days a week. If you are arriving after 6.00pm, you are required to pay in full by credit card or direct deposit and a key, map and receipt will be left for you in a letterbox outside of reception.

  16. What discounts do you offer?
    • Weekly discounts on powered sites and chalets include "Stay for 7 nights but only pay for 6" (off peak only).

      Between November and March, if you book for 7 nights in a chalet, you will only be charged for 5!

      Current members of Top Tourist Parks of Australia receive a 10% discount capped at $30.00 upon presentation of a valid membership card. Seniors may receive a 5% discount upon request and presentation of a valid Australian Seniors card. If you are unable to produce a card, we are unable to discount you.
